Allergies – The Scourge of Modern Living

Allergies seem to be increasing around the world, including in developing countries such as South Africa. Various “waves” of this allergy epidemic have been described; initially for asthma and eczema, and more recently for food allergy.  This article recently published by The Guardian explores some of the factors in modern day life which may be contributing towards the international upsurge in food allergy.
