Ingredients

  • 2 pita breads
  • mayonnaise or mustard (optional)
  • ½ cup tuna
  • 50g dairy-free cheese, sliced
  • 50g green salad
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, halved

 

Instructions

  1. Slice the pita breads in half.
  2. If using mayonnaise or mustard, spread onto the pita bread.
  3. Stuff the pita pockets with the filling ingredients and serve.
  4. This easy-to-assemble lunch does contain wheat and gluten. Gluten-free pita breads are available at some exclusive health shops, but these are not easy to find. So use this recipe for dairy-free and egg-free diets. If your child is allergic to egg, use egg-free mayonnaise, If your child is allergic to fish, use chicken.
