Imagine sending your healthy child to school one morning. She eats lunch, then suddenly starts experiencing breathing difficulty, collapses and dies later that night from a severe allergic reaction.
We must prevent this from happening. This year, for World Allergy Week, the Allergy Foundation of South Africa, is training teachers to care for children with food allergies in their schools.
For more info, or to sponsor a school to receive training, visit our Schools page! Or add AFSA as one of your beneficiaries on your MySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet card, you can support up to three organisations.
In support of World Allery Week –‘’Wear a Hat with a spot of Red’, send your pics to our Facebook, Twitter (SAallegy) or LinkedIn pages. Best Hat wins a prize!
