ALLERGY UPDATES: NOVEMBER 2022 NEWSLETTER
We have wrapped up our 2022 Allergy Masterclass series.  Thank you to our amazing Sponsors for making these events possible. More exciting news - our programme for 2023 has been confirmed see below.

New content has been updated to latest medical practice and we will deliver 8 masterclasses next year, each lasting 4 hours, to allow for a broader range of topics to be covered and more participants to attend.  Discounts are being offered to AFSA partners, free registration to doctors, nurses and pharmacists in the public health sector and free registration to 5th and 6th year medical students countrywide and we are incorporating practical patient education and training into each masterclass.  Please see below our proposed dates:

  • Allergic conjunctivitis and the red eye - 22 July
  • Food allergy - 19 August

Be safe and download a food allergy alert chef card

In addition to asking a lot of questions about the ingredients and preparation methods, carry a “chef card” that outlines the foods you must avoid. Present the card to the chef or manager for review. Fold your card in half, then tape it together and store in your wallet. You can even laminate it to make it more durable.
