Food allergy awareness in schools
The next steps are to enable us to track who has completed the module and provide a certificate of completion after they have done a short quiz. We are also in progress of drafting a more detailed educational module for people who have food allergy, or care for others with food allergy. The “Allergy in schools” protocol recommends that schools are required to set up “allergy action committees”, comprising the teachers caring for children with severe allergies, and that they must complete this training module in allergy awareness, prevention and response and maintain records of yearly completion of such training.
