Apply for the Bola Awotedu Training Fellowship

The Allergy Foundation of South Africa is proud to open applications for a paediatric allergy training fellowship of 2 weeks duration situated at the University of Cape Town.

The 2019 value of the Bola Awotedu Training Fellowship is R20 000 of support for the grantholder to cover flights, accommodation and training materials.

The candidate must be a South African citizen under 40 years of age working in the public health service of a rural area of South Africa as a doctor, nurse or dietician.

About Bola Awotedu

Professor Abolade Awotedu was a respected pulmonologist who spent much of his life working in the Eastern Cape.  He passed away on the 26th of July 2017.  His family and friends have raised funds for this scholarship in his name, to allow young professionals from rural areas of the country to access training that will allow them to continue the types of educational and service programs that Prof Awotedu was so passionate about.
